Taman Puncak @Sepang is a 9.62 acres Community-Friendly Recreational Park act as ‘Green Sanctuary’ within the Southville City new township. Nestled adjacent to commercial & residential neighbourhood, the site was viewed as the most valuable site for recreational park development. A remnant of former palm oil estate, with a mountainous landform creates an iconic identity and prominent green core to the surrounding. All the ideas and concepts culminated in a surrounding that focus to create a cohesive development focusing community interaction with the natural environment.
Incorporated with the universal design template, Taman Puncak @Sepang designed to compliment all walks of life in consideration that everyone navigates through the built environment differently.

SITE METAMORPHOSIS
Taman Puncak @Sepang is a 9.62 acres Community – Friendly Recreational Park act as ‘Green Sanctuary’ within the Southville City new township. Nestled adjacent to commercial & residential neighbourhood, the site was viewed as the most valuable site for recreational park development.

The park layout comprised of a balanced active & passive space planned and arranged delicately to offer opportunities through fun and play, learning, adventure and wellness for nearby residents and visitors alike.
There are also meditation area and over 20 numbers of different outdoor gym & par-course facilities equip for outdoor workout and meditation sessions.
The playground area, considered as one of the largest public park playground in the state, spans over 800m2 area clustered in 3 different play area with different age groups of children offering a variety of play adventures.

2,200 m2 open area known as ‘The Pinnacle’ serves as central multipurpose space for large gatherings and events. Covered and open picnic areas furnished to offer al-fresco dining experience scattered throughout the park. The ‘Summit View Point’, the highest accessible area offers a panoramic view overlooking the whole park. All the spaces linked with an approximately 1.2-km looped pedestrian circulation for strolling, jogging & cycling activities throughout the park indulged and fused with planting elements to create a harmonious balance experience to the users.

The concept is configured through its ‘Summit’ forms, texture and identity and were translated into the overall design. Landscape elements ideas derived from the horizontal forest components such as stones shape, leaves forms, root structure and river profile.

Meditation area surrounded by abundance of lush green plants offers a opportunity for a harmonious link between human & nature as well as providing shade & thermal comfort to the surrounding.

Polished concrete seating furnished throughout the Summit Park which its design simplicity allows people to fuse in the natural surroundings.
